Update Google Chrome Extensions – The simplest way !

Google chrome is a minimalist browser made for simplicity, speed and security. It’s a freeware browser from Google and it gets its code from the open source browser known as Chromium. It has a market share of 35-40% and it’s increasing day by day getting head on to the popular Mozilla Firefox browser..

Today we are goin to see how to update the extensions or plugins in chrome. We know that Google Chrome automatically updates whenever it detects that a new version of the browser or the extensions is available. The update process happens in the background and doesn’t require any action on your part.

Google Chrome checks for updates on its own schedule. When you know that a new version of an extension is available, you want to manually force update it right now. Please follow the steps below:

Head over to the omnibox and type in chrome://extensions

1. Launch Google Chrome, type chrome://chrome/extensions/ to open the Extensions page. You can also click on the control icon at the top right of the browser, then click Settings -> Extensions to open it.
2. Check the option Developer Mode in the right-top session
3. Click the button Update extensions now. The extensions will be force updated.

That’ it you are done and the browser is completely up-to-date.
