Today we shall see, how to make an exact replica of a root user which shall behave and control what all the different functions that a normal sudo or a root users controls in Linux.

Create a user, let’s call him akupedia, grant akupediathe same privileges as root and set a password for this account:

$ sudo useradd -ou 0 -g 0 akupedia
$ sudo passwd akupedia

If you have already had a user akupedia and you want to grant him root privileges (make him a second root user):

$ grep akupedia /etc/passwd
akupedia:x:1001:1001::/home/akupedia:/bin/bash

For this, it is required to edit the file /etc/passwd and just change UID and GID to 0.

That’s it. Done !
